Scott Green

Hello,

I’m Scott Green owner and head coach at Self Liberation Strength. I am here to help you move better, get stronger, and get healthier to become the best version of yourself, both mentally and physically.

My interest in movement began with Kung Fu in my mid 20s and  then expanded when I began my kettlebell training. In the past 15 years I became a certified kettlebell coach through several organizations, have learned from top Russian world champions, competed in international competitions and became the head coach of the kettlebell sport division of the Plant built Vegan Muscle team. Over the years I have explored a plethora of methods, tools and equipment from barbells to Bulgarian bags to maces from Neuro Kinetic Therapy to Functional Range Conditioning all in the search of performing better.  I have been a martial artist for twenty three years, and a personal trainer for 15 years. Having been vegan for 23 years and now in my late 40s I believe in the importance of training for longevity and having a good quality of life as we age. Getting older does not mean that you have to lose mobility or feel bad.  Some Kung Fu masters can move with fluidity well into their 80s, 90s and even 100s. Training is more than just putting on muscle or losing body fat, although that can be important, I believe that training is also about feeling good and seeing what you can accomplish.  Every time you push yourself a little more through discomfort (not pain), you become stronger and can endure a little more. This creates a stronger mind and body. Whether you want to move better, get stronger, look better, or not be in pain while completing daily tasks or playing with your kids,  I can get you there. With a focus on mobility, strength, and a healthy diet, we can reach your goals together.
